Where this started
My mom always had a way of showing up for me no matter where I was at in my life. A thoughtful note left on the counter. A letter with interesting articles in the mail. There was never an occasion left behind and sometimes a loving card in the mail, just because. It was tangible proof that someone was thinking of me. My mom is gone now, but the love she had for me, I carry forever.
I'm Peggy, and my intention is to pass this legacy of love and care forward with you.
The Lily Post started truly with my mom. Then, it was an idea to bring to life followed by conversations with my daughters - all this became something tangible we want to share with you. The intention is to have something to look forward to in a monthly envelope, filled with the same kind of thoughtfulness of a letter, creative art and a sprinkle of love with each letter sent.
I realized that feeling or receiving something like this doesn't exclude a woman’s age or any one kind of relationship. Every woman I know could use a little more love, care and reminder of just how amazing she is, just as she is.
So now, once a month, an envelope goes out. A letter from me. A piece of art either by my talented daughter (or me), and something else fun like stickers or a thoughtful prompt. Nothing complicated. Just something real, showing up in your mail to remind you that you are being thought of and that you are special.
That's the whole idea. A thoughtful reminder that you are special through unique items shared with you every month. I am so happy and grateful I get to share the experience of what my mom gave to me, and now pay it forward to you.
